The trial, exactly
Up to 14 days with no charge. Here is what that means, day by day, and what happens next.
The principle
You try, nothing is charged, you decide.
Whatever option you choose, a risk-free period applies at the start. Its length depends on the monthly amount of your plan: 3, 7 or 14 days (summary, § 4). The trial corresponds to an offer worth at most CAD 1,500: the no-charge days cover service up to that amount.
Day by day
What happens, in order.
- 01
You confirm
Your card is registered to activate the service, but nothing is charged. Your schedule is set. Service starts no sooner than 7 days after signing.
- 02
During the trial
Visits take place, each one time-stamped and documented in the app. No charge. You can cancel at no cost any time before the first payment.
- 03
The day before it ends
At least one day before the risk-free period expires, you receive a notice announcing the activation of automatic payment. If you do nothing, the service continues.
- 04
The first payment
It covers the days left between the end of the trial and the last day of the month, pro rata. After that, full monthly billing applies on the first day of each month.
- 05
The first five visits
They serve as calibration: they compare what the video showed with the reality of the space. If the gap exceeds 10%, the plan is adjusted, in either direction, and you have 48 hours to accept the new price or cancel without penalty (art. 23). These visits can run past the trial, so an adjustment can come after the first charge.
Sections 4, 5, 20, 22 and 23 of the terms.
After the trial
Stopping, later, with no surprise.
After the risk-free period, the terms of your option apply. You end the service with 45 days' written notice, sent through the app; mid-month, you pay the service days used, pro rata, and nothing more (art. 65). With the 12-month commitment, the contract renews for 12-month periods unless written notice is given 45 days before the term ends (art. 65.1).
Frequently asked questions
The trial, in practice
Do I have to give my card to try?
Yes. A credit card is required to activate the service, but the first charge only happens at the end of the risk-free period (§ 5).
Why 3, 7 or 14 days?
The length depends on the monthly amount of your plan (§ 4). In practice, the trial corresponds to an offer worth at most CAD 1,500.
What if the service is not right for me?
You cancel at no cost before the first payment, from the app. Nothing has been charged, nothing will be claimed (§ 4 and § 9).
Can the price change after the trial?
During the first year, only if the first five visits reveal a gap of more than 10% between the video and the reality of the space, in either direction (art. 22 and 23), with 48 hours to accept or cancel without penalty. After that, the rate is indexed once a year on the anniversary date, between 3% and 6% depending on inflation, announced 60 days ahead (art. 25.3).
